+1
A neutral white plate is versatile and works across many décor styles and menu presentations, giving flexibility for different guest profiles.
Désavantages
White neutral aesthetic may show wear more readily
A plain white plate while versatile can show scratches, gun-metal marks, utensil scuffs or staining more readily than patterned or tinted finishes. Over time in high-use environments this may reduce the “fresh” aesthetic unless well maintained.

From a purchasing point of view: the case-of-24 package simplifies replacements and inventory flow (we order in multiples of 24). We do plan to keep some spares for breakage though, since while stoneware is durable, any chipping or cracking is harder to replace if the exact model is discontinued.

Avantages
Large size suitable for main course service
The diameter is 10.5″, which is ample for full-plate service (entree plus sides) rather than just appetizer or salad size.
Désavantages
Stoneware material may have trade-off with weight and handling
Stoneware typically means heavier than lightweight ceramic or porcelain. In high-turnover hospitality environments, heavier plates can impact staff ergonomics, dishwasher loading/unloading, and breakage risk from dropping. Also stoneware may chip if mishandled or if lower firing quality.

As a guest staying at a vacation rental furnished for short-stay, I appreciated that the dinner plate was generous in size and the white finish made the food look good. The plate felt heavier than typical home dinnerware though — fine for dining, but when clearing the table staff seemed to prefer lighter alternatives.

Avantages
Commercial packaging & scalability
The plate is sold in a package of 24 units per case. For a hotel, vacation-rental, banquet or food-service operation this helps with bulk purchasing, inventory management and matching replacements, which is a plus.
Désavantages
Limited publicly available detail on specs beyond size/pack
While we have diameter and pack size, there isn’t a comprehensive breakdown publicly (in the sources I found) of plate thickness, rim height, specific stoneware grade or weight. That makes assessing durability and stacking/storage impact more difficult.

In our boutique guest-house we switched to the 10½″ Empire stoneware dinner plates in the 24-pack format. The size accommodates our plated entrées with sides nicely, guests commented the plate looked substantial rather than the thin cheap ones we used before. On the downside, I noticed we need to double-check storage rack spacing due to the plate’s larger diameter and weight — stacking 24 units uses more shelf height than our previous 9″ plates
