Advantages
Bulk Case for Hospitality Businesses
Sold in a 36-piece case, these commercial dinner plates are an excellent value for restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, healthcare facilities, and catering companies that need dependable, matching dinnerware for daily service.
Disadvantages
Stoneware Adds Extra Weight
The durable stoneware restaurant plate is heavier than some porcelain or melamine alternatives, which may be a consideration during high-volume service.
Comment
This bulk dinnerware set offers great value for commercial kitchens. The plates are durable, easy to clean, and complement any table setting. They're a little heavier than our previous plates, but the overall quality and professional look make them an excellent investment.
Andrew Lewis – Hotel Restaurant Manager
Advantages
Made for the foodservice industry, this commercial restaurant plate features a durable vitrified construction that resists everyday wear and is suitable for busy dining environments. It's also dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe, making it practical for high-volume operations.
Disadvantages
Designed for Commercial Quantities
With 36 plates per case, this product is geared toward restaurants and hospitality businesses rather than homeowners who only need a few plates.
Comment
We ordered these 7-1/8-inch white plates for our hotel dining room, and they've been outstanding. They're sturdy, stack neatly, and present our salads and desserts beautifully. We'll definitely order another case when we expand.
Jessica Morgan – Café Owner
Advantages
Perfect for Appetizers, Salads, and Desserts
The International Tableware 7-1/8-inch plate is an ideal size for serving appetizers, side salads, desserts, pastries, and small lunch portions. Its versatile design makes it a great addition to restaurants, cafés, hotels, bakeries, and catering services.
Disadvantages
Limited Size for Full Entrées
The 7-1/8-inch plate is best suited for appetizers, desserts, and salads, but it may be too small for serving full dinner portions.
Comment
These commercial restaurant plates are exactly what we needed for serving desserts and appetizers. They have a clean, professional appearance, feel durable, and have held up perfectly through daily dishwasher use. Excellent quality for busy cafés.

Advantages
Robust foodservice-grade material with good durability
According to spec sheets, versions of the 7-1/8″ plate from International Tableware (ITI) are “fully vitrified,” “lead-free,” “dishwasher safe,” “microwave safe,” and built for commercial use. For example: “fully vitrified… designed to withstand continuous heat up to 350 °F
Disadvantages
toneware/ceramic weight & handling considerations
As a commercial plate made of ceramic/stoneware and fully vitrified, it will likely be heavier than lightweight retail crockery. In a high-turnover service environment this can affect staff ergonomics (clearing tables, stacking, dishwashing) and may increase fatigue or mishandling risk.
Comment
As a guest dining at the restaurant, I noticed the plate felt solid and looked good on the table—nice rim, clean finish. But when the main course arrived on a bigger plate next, there was a noticeable size difference which made the progression feel a little disparate (starter plate then large main plate). If all courses were on this size, for large mains it might feel a bit tight.

Advantages
Commercial scale packaging (36 pieces per case)
The plate is offered in a “Case of 36” units. For high-turnover environments (restaurants, hotels, banquet operations) this bulk pack size helps simplify stocking, ensure matching sets, and streamline replacements
Disadvantages
Smaller than standard dinner-plate size
While 7-1/8″ is great for starters/appetisers, it may be too small for main courses in some service formats. If your operation uses large entrée plating or sharing dishes, this size might feel limited.
Comment
We switched to the International Tableware 7-1/8″ plate (case of 36) for our salad/appetiser service in the hotel’s dining room. The size feels perfect for a starter or plated dessert, and the material feels robust rather than thin or fragile. On the downside, some of our servers commented that the plate felt heavier than our previous 8″ plates and one of the stacking racks needed adjustment for the rim width
